About Jonny

Who is Jonny Cordon, and why is he named after a blue piece of string? I am a self-taught photographer, Personal Chef, and Nutrition Coach. With my photography, I focus primarily on my all-time favorite joy in life: FOOD! As a little boy, I discovered my passion for food, always enjoying the creative process with my mother.

At the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I had to make a decision on what route my life would go. Fortunately, I had the time and motivation to pursue new and interesting paths. There is an old adage that says Your passion is where your thoughts linger. Did I just make that up? Maybe. Maybe not. What is important is that I wanted to pursue something that I couldn’t stop thinking about, where I could go to work and say “Wow, I really get to do this every day?”

What can I not stop thinking about? Food. You already knew the answer. *Golf Clap* More specifically though, I enjoy the creation and science behind the food. I love how the simple ingredients of yeast, water, flour, and salt in bread cause it to rise into fluffy pillows of deliciousness. I also love the cultural aspect of food, allowing one to peer into the heart and soul of another group of people. Although we as a human race differ greatly around the world, we can come together around one thing: FOOD!

What is Honeynut Squash Soup?

Let’s get this out of the way first: No, this is not a soup recipe combining Honeynut Cheerios and squash. 😉  Honeynut Squash is a smaller, sweeter variation of the butternut squash. You can definitely use regular butternut in this recipe if honeynut squash is unavailable to you.   I used an autumnal combination of honeynut
